Plumbr does not find a leak? Our team to the rescue!

August 22, 2012 by Priit Potter Filed under: Plumbr

We are confident that we have created a good product. Plumbr has detected hundreds of leaks in very different Java apps all around the world. However, we really like to put our money where our mouth is, so we thought it’s time to raise the bar even higher. From now on:

If Plumbr fails to detect an existing memory leak in your application, our team will find it for you!

As simple as that. If our tool is not good enough then we have to make our hands dirty. No hidden tricks here. Just contact us via support@plumbr.io and describe your case. We will take care of the rest. And by we, we mean one of our core team members with 10+ years of experience, not some random guy on the tech support line.

Some conditions still do apply:

  • The platform you are using to run your application must be supported by Plumbr . So, unfortunately all you guys running JDK 1.4 on Solaris are out of luck.
  • You have to provide us details of the leak. For a typical case we require only memory statistics created by Plumbr. These can be uploaded automatically. The statistics is completely anonymized and does not contain any sensitive data from within your application, only statistical information about object creation and destruction. On some complex cases we might need heap dump and/or some additional information, so you should be available for future questions.
  • We promise to start working towards the solution in at most three business days. At the absolute worst case. When we are out of office for a team event. However, normally you should receive a reply from us the same day you contact us.
  • The offer is valid at least until the 1st of July 2013 00:00 Pacific Time. We do not intend to cancel the offering, but our lawyers told us that we needed to limit the period of it somehow.

Why are we doing this? We have learned that building trust is important. And with the numerous possible alternatives out there – we wanted to give you an extra incentive to trust the new player in the field.

So here’s the deal. Pick Plumbr and get rid of your leaks. One way or another.
